About RDA

About Us

We are a small RDA Group based at the College of West Anglia, Milton, Cambridgeshire.

The group was started in by Mrs Judith Walker MBE in 1989. Mrs Gay Redman took over the group in late 2006, and today we own 3 horses (Archie, Casper & Victor) as well as looking after a polo pony.

Most of our riders are students at Cambridge Regional College, and ride with us once a week, supported by a dedicated group of volunteers.

Our Aims

Most of our riders have already completed their grade 1 and grade 2 proficiency tests. They also competed at the RDA East Region qualifier, where they achieved great success and one rider qualified for the National Championships.

We hope to continue to enter competitions with the students and our aim is to train them to a hgh enough standard to compete at the Special Olympics.

We would also like some of our students to be able to attend RDA gymkhanas and holiday camps in the summer if we can raise enough funds to help them fully involve themselves in what this sport can offer them.
